Photojournalistic Family Session

This family came to me wanting photos that were very natural and candid.  We did the shoot in and just outside of their home.  They were so laid back and so kind.  I just looked through all of their pictures tonight and man o man... there are so many beautiful shots, I don't know where to start!  I have to get up super early and my husband is going to kill me for blogging while he's trying to sleep, but I couldn't resist posting just a few.  I will post some more later... there's too many fun shots to keep them a secret!  I also have more of Brandy's bridals and her wedding day to post.  I'm sooo behind!  We'll, enough jibber jabber... let's get to the good stuff... the photos!  Thanks for stopping by!

Stunning Bride

Brandy has seen more of her bridal proofs, but I just had to share this favorite image from her session.  I think every woman dreams of looking like this on their wedding day!  To top it off, she is the sweetest person!  I'll post more of her bridals soon.  Can't wait to shoot your wedding in a week, Brandy!  See you soon!

San Diego Beach Shoot

We used to live about an hour and a half away from San Diego and WE MISS THE BEACH!  We went on a family vacation last week with Nathan's parents, his brother and his wife and their cute, cute, cute little girl!  They requested that I take their family pictures and I jumped at the opportunity!  I will post more later, but here are a few for teasers.  Thanks for visiting my blog!

Fun Family in Urban Setting

Emily is my friend and the sister I never had.  We've only known each other for a short time, but our friendship is so tight that I feel like we've known each other forever!  We had a blast cruising through the alley ways of down town Salt Lake for their family photo shoot.  I loved all the colorful backdrops of the buildings and thought it was so funny when a scruff man drove by and yelled out his window "Why in the $!@#* are you taking pictures here?!  It's so @#%$* ugly!) Oh well, I guess we all see things differently.  So I don't know if I was having a moment of insanity, but I didn't even bring an assistant... and boy, did their little one like to run and not sit still even for one minute!  I owe you more pictures because of this, Em!  So here's sneak peak of this beautiful family... you all should be models, I'm tellin' ya!

  

Meet content little Mr. "L"

This is my sweet nephew... I had such a fun time taking pictures of my brother's cute family at Wheeler Farm.  I could have snapped pictures all day of their little boy, he was just so content and so cute!  I just love the shots of him in the tractor... I wish I had pictures like this of my boy at that age!  Enjoy guys, and Emily... I am getting to your pics... they'll be up very soon... promise!  I know you're checking the blog!  Hey, and if anyone could tell me why some pictures can be clicked on for a larger view and others can't... I would much appreciate it.  There are only a few that you can enlarge here and it is driving me nuts!!! I want you to be able to see them larger!

Raquel and I had a "photo exchange" on Saturday.  We are both in the portrait business and decided that it was time that we had some decent photos of ourselves.  So we turned our cameras on each other!  We had so much fun and both of us realized that we are much more comfortable BEHIND the camera than in front of it!  (Although, I think Raquel looks stunning in the image below! She looks so natural and comfortable... what a hottie!)  It was good for me to experience what my clients feel when doing a photo shoot.  

Oh and yes... you'll get to see a few of me.  Yikes!  I'm nervous!
